MICHIGAN CHAPTER

Tired of all the hypocrisy on the part of the anti-gunners?

Know anyone who marched for longer waiting periods in Michigan, but who are unaware of how long the waiting period is to get a permit to purchase a gun or even know the procedure for buying a gun? Know anyone who marched for trigger locks, but are unaware that they can be far more dangerous than no trigger locks? Know anyone who marched to make it a law that kids shouldn't buy handguns, when in Michigan the law already requires one be 21 years of age? Know anyone who marched to ban assault guns, when they have been outlawed for 30 years? Know anyone who is against CCW because they feel that crime will increase when there is not a single academic study that claims right-to-carry laws have increased state crime rates in any of the other states that have CCW? Know anyone who marched for a kinder world for their children and then destroyed, sabotaged and stole SAS property? Know anyone who's going to go right back out there and do it all again in the name of "common sense"?

Dr. Robert J. Woolley has addressed our frustration at the hypocrisy of it all and has initiated the "Rosie"Award, as featured in America's First Freedom.

Few would disagree that last year's most flagrant anti-rights hypocrite was Rosie O'Donnell, who, after calling for a complete ban on private firearms ownership, approved of her own bodyguard's application to carry a concealed handgun. In her honor, Dr. Robert J. Woolley, a staff physician at Boynton Health Service in Minnesota, has proposed a new award - the "Rosie" - to be bestowed upon the most hypocritical enemies of the Second Amendment. Candidates nominated by Dr. Woolley include:

Honorable Mention Rosie's go out to people or organizations that were not really duplictous, but just plain dumb in their anti-gun efforts:

A big thumbs down to all the recipients!
