I thank the Lord, for sending a wife to keep

My wife that would love me forever true

And Inez the woman he sent was "You"

You came into my life

When I was longing for a wife

And with all your cute little charms

Wasn't long before we ended up in each other's arms

Soul mates we soon became

And soon you shared the same last name

Our lives soon became as one

We shared, we cared, we loved, and we had fun

February 10^th, 1946, a day I’ll remember for sure

My wife you became forever more

Seven children soon called you mom

And believe me, You were the best ever called mom!

The kids are now grown and moved away

And Inez there are two things I would like to say

Straight from the bottom of my heart

I loved you and thank you! You were the joy of my heart

And when the night comes again

Now I lay me down to sleep...is how I will begin

But it is thanks to the Lord, I am giving

Amazed I was sent the most wonderful woman living

You led me to Jesus, but I lost my way

But just before you left, again you showed me the way

I'm grateful for each day you gave me

And I know this much is true

I was blessed because I was loved by you.

You truly were the woman sent from above

I was so proud to have such a wonderful wife

And one day I plan to join you up above
